Discontinued 10 Years Later in 2013Īfter a decade of success, Kellogg’s discontinued Smorz in 2013. Based on the traditional campfire S’mores, this sugary breakfast cereal consists of rich chocolatey graham pieces with marshmallows. Smorz cereal was first released in 2003 by Kellogg’s. Here are 8 interesting facts about Smorz that you probably don’t know. Well, that’s were Kellogg’s Smorz cereal comes into the pictures. To keep up with all of our products finds and Junk Bantering in real time, follow us on social media at the links below!įacebook: Instagram: Twitter: Our friends at Cerealously reviewed Kellogg’s Smorz too! Find out what they thought here. What’s better for breakfast than classic campfire S’mores? But unless you’re camping in the woods, it’d be quite hard to build yourself a S’mores in the morning. I want everyone to know that we are but one more glass of spilled milk away from Junk Banter being dead forever. I had to purchase a new laptop just to finish this review. Odds I Will Even Be Alive in 2017 Rating: 3 out of 10Įditor’s Note : While preparing this review, I dropped the container of milk directly onto my Macbook Air. Odds I Actually Cut Back On My Sugars in 2017 Rating: 1 out of 10 Why did you guys have to bring this back? My New Year’s Resolution for 2016 was to cut back on my sugars. Here’s how I know Kellogg’s Smorz cereal is a good cereal: I am 90% certain that this milk is spoiled, and I’m still enjoying it. The mini marshmallows didn’t fare as well, turning to mush almost instantly. The graham pieces maintain their crunchiness longer than most cereals, but this was mostly lost on me as I swallowed the entire bowl in 10 seconds. The chocolate flavor seems to improves once drenched in lactose. I’m staring down at any empty bowl because I forgot to savor it or write anything about it while inhaling it. So how does Kellogg’s Smorz hold up in milk? I don’t know guys, you tell me. I love any cereal with marshmallows, and they work especially well in this one. They have all the grit and stiff crunch of the mini marshmallows you put in your hot chocolate, except they’re gigantic. These marshmallows are exactly what a mini marshmallow ought to be – sweet, creamy, and a touch of vanilla. Plus, real campfire s’mores aren’t that heavy on chocolate either. The graham flavor is good enough that I can overlook this for the most part. The cocoa flavor isn’t too intense (some bites have more than others), which is my only true knock against this cereal. They taste kind of like big fat Golden Grahams (my #1 cereal all-time), with lots and lots of authentic graham flavor and a dusting of chocolate. They’re puffy but still insanely crunchy and somewhat airy. I love the texture of the crispy graham pillows in Kellogg’s Smorz cereals. Let me cram some of this into my face right now to remedy years of neglect. I agree that this is completely unacceptable and I’m eager to change things right now. I feel like I must have bought it once, but I really don’t remember what it tasted like. I was very, very healthy for many, many years. I cannot recall ever trying Kellogg’s Smorz. Here’s my crazy, unfathomable confession. “It was a sad Saturday morning in our house today.”.Here are some samples of the comments on Kellogg’s blog when they announced the swap: The switch didn’t appease Kellogg’s Smorz lovers. People were piiiisssssed. Kellogg’s Krave S’mores cereal was a different configuration of the smores ingredients, offering puffy graham flavored pieces that were filled with a chocolatey, marshmallowy filling inside. So, naturally, Kellogg’s discontinued it in December 2013. They replaced it with a S’mores variety of Kellogg’s Krave Cereal. The commercial touted the cereal as “chocolatey graham pillows and marshmallows.” Everybody loved Kellogg’s Smorz! Kellogg’s Smorz cereal debuted back in 2003 (the first 8 seconds of this commercial are arguably NSFW). Today I have the pleasure of reviewing a product which proves that incessant crying like a spoiled child will always get you what you want. It’s National Cereal Day! What does that mean? Nothing, but let’s review some cereal just to play along.

Many of your decisions have long-lasting consequences that are difficult to see ahead of time, so the choice you thought was stupid in episode one could have saved your neck in episode three, if only you'd known in time. While the actual gameplay is fairly basic and familiar - most of the actual interactivity comes in as dialogue choices, with fairly standard QTEs filling out the rest - the sort of choices you're forced to make will keep you twitching with anxiety in a way even The Walking Dead can't match. That feeling comes straight out of the show and is loyally replicated here, but this story takes things a step further by putting you in charge of major decisions that you would've just watched with an intense mix of dread and schadenfreude before. She might be willing to help our heroes, if they can handle the heat. GAME OF THRONES A TELLTALE GAMES SERIES BEST CHOICES FREEMother of dragons and speaker of amazing lines, Daenerys appears in episode two in all her queenly glory, on the eve of campaign to free a city's worth of slaves. You can still technically play the game even if you know nothing about the series (and if you didn't just add 'Jon Snow' to that sentence, you're in that camp), since the focus is on the Forresters, but there will always be a sense that you're supposed to be more affected by some of the side characters that show up and make trouble for our heroes. GAME OF THRONES A TELLTALE GAMES SERIES BEST CHOICES TVIndeed, the game opens on a catalytic event from the TV show, and if you aren't already up to speed on why it's important, you'll quickly feel lost. This Game of Thrones tale borrows heavily from the source material and doesn't devote much time to explaining it, so you'll often be left confused as to what's happening around you or why it's important. If any of that background sounds confusing though, this probably isn't going to be the game for you. But the art style is really lovely once you get used to it, despite some stilted animations here and there. Given that the Game of Thrones TV show is entirely live-action, the leap to Telltale's oil-painting aesthetic may be a bit jarring, and movements in the engine can look comparatively jerky. By the end, you actually want to keep them safe for reasons outside 'winning' because they're fascinating people, not just the least awful ones around. As with all Game of Thrones works, you can expect a tale rife with tangled political intrigue and brutal violence, though the Forresters' story also has an impressively human side - characters who seem one-note in the story's opening hours develop into genuinely likeable, engaging people by the end, with moments of true tenderness sprinkled in to contrast (and intensify) the doom and gloom. You play as several different members of the Forrester family, scattered from King's Landing to the intimidating Wall, and have to do your best to keep them alive and working to save the House. Here we learn the story of House Forrester, a clan of bannermen loyal to House Stark, imperiled when their benefactors are betrayed and the Forrester patriarch dies in the chaos. Rather than trying to retread events from the Song of Ice and Fire book series that the show has already covered, Telltale's Game of Thrones focuses on a totally original (but Martin-approved) cast of characters over the course of its 20-hour run. Same thing happens when you scroll left to right - the article or table you’re reading will interpret that as a full swipe, and you’ll be taken back to the homepage mid-article. Then guess what, you have to go back to your previous article and re-click the stupid “read more” button again. Where’s the crypto tab? Secondly, the UX is awful - placing your finger on the screen for even an instant (to stop scrolling for example) is interpreted as a click on an article. This app is awful - first off, you can’t get all the index pricing information that the desktop version has. Long term usage should opt one to go web client rather than the app. An app that I would probably recommend to a curious individual or someone who needs it as a quicker alternative to the web version, but should not be overlooked from its difficulties. Some strange user interface glitches and hassles at times, but delivers exactly what it shows nothing more nothing less. For recreational usage and “a regular experience” however. This app just overall seems overtaken completely by the web client version and beyond, more or less just a show that you have the app. It seemed to be unoptimized for iPhoneX and up which caused a few UI issues, but I looked away from those and relied strictly on content. I am using this app as a student for the virtual stock market game, so apologies if my review does not meet the standard of what others may use for this app.įirstly even for using it for the stock market game, selecting it simply brings me to the internet version of the site, ironically the better option! With my main drive for even installing the app in the first place down the drain I will say simply navigating trough the app and using it as a regular was very. * Instantly share stories via social media, text message and email or save them for later viewing * Save stories to read them at a time that is more convenient for you Article Sharing and Saving Capabilities You can add multiple personalized watchlists, which can be viewed at any time across devices and platforms The MarketWatch app syncs with, allowing registered MarketWatch users to track stocks on the go. * Track your stock picks and see related MarketWatch stories to stay up-to-date on your investments * Track stock market data over a variety of date ranges and regions (U.S., Europe, Asia) for a more comprehensive understanding of the markets * Detailed stock quote pages with key trading information and interactive charts from across major global markets * Market data center with access to stocks, commodities, rates, currencies - all updated in real time * Top Stories bar is interactive and gives access to a fully customizable drop-down menu featuring other news channels (e.g. * Personal finance, investing, technology, politics, energy, retail and retirement planning news and insights. * Article headlines and images are featured along with real-time market data for each relevant ticker * Latest stock market, finance, business and investing news from MarketWatch Receive market-moving alerts on your mobile device Latest market data, including: index movements, stock prices, and other key securities information Breaking news stories, videos, and in-depth analysis The MarketWatch app for iPhone and iPad delivers the latest business news, financial information and market data to your fingertips. Why would you let them do that to you? Don't you know what that means?' It's not an effect like people try to say, it's for people like Shania Twain who can't sing. Or you hear somebody like Alicia Keys, who I know is pretty good, and you'll hear a little bit of auto-tune and you're like, 'You're too fucking good for that. "When I hear auto-tune on somebody's voice, I don't take them seriously. Reviewer Jake G.I like what Neko Case had to say about auto-tune back in a 2006 interview with Pitchfork: So get the man some beta blockers and a Prozac, and let’s hope for the best. DOES PINOCCHIO STORY USE AUTOTUNE FULLThese days, his heart resembles the one on the cover of “808s”-desiccated and ailing, it can’t pump enough to power a full LP-but at least it still has the capacity to throb occasionally. It’s already crowded with robots-the Jonas Brothers, the Duff sisters, a shiny Britney just wheeled out of the repair shop-and, unlike those droids, Kanye’s always had heart, has always made vital music. Kanye invited them to a pity party, but they must not have caught that first word: a medicore Jeezy verse overpowers the plodding “Amazing,” and Wayne’s wisecracks weaken Ye’s jealousy on “See You in My Nightmares.” The album nods off to live freestyle “Pinocchio Story,” and Kanye hits the depths of his self-pity when he sings, “Real life, what does it feel like?” Which is bad news: if he too fancies himself a robot, then pop music’s in trouble. The aesthetic shift belies his “Graduation” claim that “The hood love to listen to Jeezy and Weezy / And oh yeah, Yeezy.” Nonetheless, both Young Jeezy and Lil’ Wayne make cameos. Here, he’s a singer-songwriter, and he’s lost his acute powers of observation and his humor. As a rapper in a genre dominated by macho swagger, his limited emotional palette worked wonders. Sure, he’s hurt, but the album’s few flashes of actual honesty can only depict the skeletal outlines of a relationship, only make for a handful of wrenching tracks. The award-show tantrums, the paparazzi skirmishes: they suggested a Kanye incapable of mature self-expression, an impression “808s” confirms. Vulnerability isn’t new for Kanye, who’s explored self-doubt since “The College Dropout.” But he’s still emotionally opaque-animatronic, even-and it’s worth remembering that while he could see out of the famous venetian-blind sunglasses, we couldn’t see in. Wondrously bizarre electrojam “Robocop” sounds like a Spector production, and it could have been a year-end roundup highlight if it didn’t digress into a lazy rant against his ex. Faint-hearted opener “Say You Will” is clogged by a slow, three-minute outro with life-support beeps and an awful synth choir. “My friend show me pictures of his kids,” he laments, “And all I can show him was pictures of my cribs.” His mother’s passing might also explain Kanye’s fatigue. On “Welcome to Heartbreak,” he reevaluates. The loss that pervades “808s” also stems from the recent death of Kanye’s mother (guy’s had a rough year). Kanye and his fiancée called the whole thing off last summer, and this is his “Sea Change.” That titular heartbreak inspired the wounded but flat “Heartless” and also “Paranoid,” where an insouciant-in-spite-of-it Kanye robo-raps over melted-butter synths and a soulful, multi-tracked hook. It’s the first movement to Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” gone horribly, stunningly wrong, and Kanye’s regret seeps through the vocoding: “I’m not loving you / The way I wanted to.” The “you” here seems clear. Taiko drums and 808s undergird stabbing piano chords while electro-Gaye Kanye hugs the contours of a repetitious minor-blues melody. On first single “Love Lockdown,” it absolutely pounds. On second single “Heartless,” he confesses that he “lost his soul / To a woman so heartless.” But she didn’t heist his heart, which beats throughout this mournful disc. But take a closer look at this reinvention of an album-Kanye as solely-strings-and-synths balladeer?-and he’s still human. After all, his jaw’s half metal since that fateful car crash, and he got nanoimplants (or whatever) in the video for “Stronger.” And yeah, each track on his bold new effort, “808s and Heartbreaks,” gets the Auto-Tune treatment: he’s foresaken rap, and his questionable singing chops are lazer-bevelled into serviceable shape by software. It’s excusable to mistake West for an android. In 1979, Lester Bangs wrote, “These are mutant times, and Talking Heads are the most human of mutant groups.” Give it a few tweaks, and the sentence is relevant to 2008: for these are robot times, and Kanye West is the most human of robot artists.
